Monday Catch-Up: Khazalite Holds Pre-Orders Open and Magic’s Atlanta Box Goes on Sale
Two stories we’ve been tracking got real dates this week, and one of them has a hard limit on how long you’ll be able to buy it. Here’s where things stand on Monday.
Khazalite Holds: the clock on the Fyreslayers is now running. When we covered the Fyreslayers losing seven entries to Legends, there were no prices and no dates. That has changed. Pre-orders for the Khazalite Holds Army Set opened on Saturday, October 17, and the box is $210 in the US, according to Tale of Painters and Spikeybits. Both Tale of Painters and Sprues & Brews give October 31 as the release date.
The contents match what Warhammer Community previewed: Hjulda Drakkblud, ten Clanshields, three Gholems of Gazul, an Oathkeeper Cannon, and the battletome with a cover you can’t get anywhere else, plus 53 warscroll cards. The part to know before you click buy is that the set is only around while stocks last, and Tale of Painters reports a single production run. If you wanted the exclusive-cover book, don’t wait for a restock.
On the Fyreslayers themselves, the reviews confirm the same seven entries are leaving the book. Sprues & Brews says they become Legends in about a year, which lines up with the one-year event window Warhammer Community gave us. What we still can’t confirm is a date when the removed models come off sale, or when the battletome is sold on its own. We looked and found neither.
Magic’s Mystery Booster Commander Edition: today’s the day. In our earlier look at what $249.99 gets you, the sale was still ahead of us. According to Wizards of the Coast, Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 goes on sale today, October 19, at MagicSecretLair.com. The price is $249.99, with a limit of two per customer, while supplies last. Wizards didn’t give a time of day.
The box holds one Mystery Booster Commander Edition (24 boosters of 20 cards each), a Secret Gallery: Atlanta foil drop of four cards, and four Festival in a Box promo cards. One catch worth saying plainly: Wizards’ page gives no separate date or price for buying the booster box alone. It describes this bundle as the first chance to get a full box, so if you only want the cards, the price of entry is the whole $249.99.
Still quiet: D&D’s World of Warcraft book. We went looking for any change to the release plans we reported in our earlier post and found nothing newer. As far as we can tell, nothing has moved.
