This page explains what information TabletopIntel collects when you visit or use this site, why we collect it, and what we do (and don’t do) with it. We’ve tried to write this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect, and why
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which articles they read, and how they found us. This uses cookies and collects general information like your approximate location, device/browser type, and which pages you visited — it does not identify you by name. You can opt out using a tool like the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and comment text you submit, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string, to help detect spam. Your comment and display name (not your email address) are shown publicly. Gravatar may show a profile photo tied to your email address if you have one set up there.
Purchases
If you buy something through our shop, WooCommerce (our store platform) and our print-on-demand fulfillment partner (Printful) process the order and shipping details necessary to get your product to you — name, shipping address, and order contents. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are never stored on our own servers.
Affiliate links
Many articles link to products on Amazon. TabletopIntel is a participant in the Amazon Associates program, and those links contain a tracking tag that lets Amazon credit us a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. Amazon, not TabletopIntel, sets any cookies associated with that tracking and handles that data under its own privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We do not share your comment or purchase data with third parties except the service providers named above (WooCommerce, Printful, our payment processor) who need it strictly to do their job — process your order, ship your product, or process payment.
How long we keep data
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding every comment for manual moderation. Order information is kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete it (for example, delete a comment you left). If you have a WordPress account on this site, you can also request an export of the data we hold. Email contact@tabletopintel.com to make any of these requests.
Cookies
Beyond Google Analytics, this site uses standard WordPress and WooCommerce cookies to keep your cart contents and login session working while you browse. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to a cookie that remembers your name, email, and website so you don’t have to re-enter them next time.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example, if we add advertising through a network like Google AdSense in the future — we’ll update this page and note the change here.
