Marvel: Crisis Protocol’s Next Hulk Box Is Built Around the Objective
The Leader doesn’t want your health bar. He wants your Power, and he’d like your objective runs to move at half speed while he takes it.
That’s the first thing that stands out in the rules previews for the next Marvel: Crisis Protocol character pack, which Atomic Mass Games lists as Leader, Red Hulk & Sensational She-Hulk. The Asmodee store page shows a release date of November 13, 2026, at $79.99. The listing says it’s currently sold out, so check with your local shop about allocation. In the box: three unassembled, unpainted miniatures, three bases, three character stat cards and five team tactic cards.
The rules came out this week through Bell of Lost Souls and a Frontline Gaming breakdown. Reading them together, a pattern shows up. Two of the three characters have abilities that reach for the objective, not just the other player’s models.
Start with the Leader. According to Frontline Gaming, he enters at 3 Threat and plays as a control piece. Mental Bolts can steal Power. My Latest Invention applies Slow to objective use. Intelligencia Leadership hands out Power when allies roll Critical results, including on some objective interactions, and Shadow Brokers gives the whole team rerolls. Nobody’s going to mistake that for a damage dealer. It’s a character for the player who likes winning the mission while the other side wonders where their turn went.
Sensational She-Hulk comes at the same problem from the other side. She’s a durable bruiser with throws, Stagger, reactive damage and what the preview calls strong dice insurance. Her Hostile Witness rule forces nearby objective carriers to spend resources, drop the objective or stay put. If you’ve ever had a fast character sprint off with a token while your big hitters stood around, you can see why that matters. We don’t know yet which affiliation she’ll sit in, because the previews we found don’t say.
Red Hulk is the loud one, and he’s the one that asks something of the person holding him. Blistering Strike can inflict Incinerate, which feeds his Scorched Earth area attack. Burning Drop teleports him into the fight and spreads Incinerate around him, and that includes friendly characters. Thunderbolts Leadership moves Power to allies after the team damages enemies, and Vicious Cycle can set up another Thunderbolt attack. It’s a lot of upside with a real chance of singeing your own crew, so expect to plan your deployment around him rather than just pointing him at the middle of the table.
A word of caution: these are previews, not table time. How the Leader’s Slow effect plays against a crowded objective, or whether Hostile Witness actually changes how people carry tokens, only shows up once the models are painted and the dice are rolling. Eighty dollars is also real money for three figures you have to build yourself. If your group already plays objective-heavy missions, though, this is the pack that seems aimed at you. If you mostly want a big green fist, the existing Hulk character pack may still do the job.
